Description
The candidate will work with the Regional Manager and Sales Manager to develop and coordinate a sales plan with existing regional Turf sales team to focus efforts in all aspects of growing Commercial and Contractor rotor sales.
- Develop and implement strategic planning, conversion programs and training with key customers to grow Rain Bird rotor business and bond customers to Rain Bird.
- Establish aggressive call coverage cycles on target customers that help to differentiate Rain Bird from its competitors
- Build relationships with contractors with the primary objective of selling Rain Bird turf rotors and become a key resource to the customer base
- Train and educate irrigation contractors on Rain Birds turf rotors, their applications, key benefits, and troubleshooting
- Participate in product demo days, road shows, contractor fly-ins, trade shows, training, and regional meetings to help enhance awareness of Rain Bird and Rain Bird rotors
- Submit monthly reports detailing specific rotor product or market needs, concerns and observations to raise internal awareness of market movements
- Developing and maintaining a territory & promotional budget
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate Degree (BA or BS)
- Able to quickly develop rapport and relationships
- 5+ years sales experience or proven ability to sell
- Strong business skills and management experience
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Computer skills with word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications
- Self motivated, team player, enthusiastic, creative, and a go-getter
- Prior Sales Management experience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Irrigation work experience- sales or installation
- Able to communicate in Spanish (verbally & written)
- MBA degree
