Description

As the Deployment Specialist for the SMS&P Group in Chicago, you will be a member of a highly specialized team of sales, technical, and marketing professionals. The Deployment Specialist is responsible for effective communication of the business and technical value of the Microsoft Core IO, BPIO, and APO solutions to expert knowledge workers, technical decision makers, and business decision makers in the mid-market space (CPM and CIAM).

The Deployment Specialist in SMS&P reports to the Regional PTA Director and works closely with our highest value CPM and CIAM customers to help them solve their business problems with Microsoft technology. Qualified candidates will have a BS/BA in business, computer science, or a computer-related degree and 10-15 years of related experience with a deep technical knowledge of the Microsoft Core IO, BPIO, and APO product sets. Candidates should maintain current MCTS, MCITP, and other relevant technical certifications and have a rich experience in working with mid-market or enterprise companies through sales and technical engagement.

Responsibilities include:
Build a trusted advisor relationship with high value customers in the Chicago area
Drive deployment through direct engagement with CPM and CIAM accounts in Chicago
Partner with local sales teams to drive strategy in high value accounts
Partner with local PAMs and PTA to identify go-to partners for specific customer projects
Work with local partners to develop deployment solutions
Work to architect adoption solutions for Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Office 2010, and Exchange 2010
Work with regional compete leads to execute on regional and local programs
Work to build deployment partner readiness and capacity
Deliver strategic 1:many events to drive broad partner readiness needs across multiple partners (only in scenarios where not supported by broader engines)
Ensure 300-400 level personal technical readiness of the latest technology releases within your specialty and integrated solutions with the rest of the Microsoft stack
Partner with EPG STU to bring specialized expertise to CPM/CIAM customers and Deployment Partners

QUALIFICATIONS:
Someone who is a team player and one that is committed to helping others succeed
The candidate must be comfortable presenting to various customer/partner/internal audiences, including senior management, mid-management, and technical employees. This individual will have exceptional executive communication, presentation, analytical skills, and a high commitment to customer satisfaction
A solid understanding of the Microsoft partner channel and a strong understanding of how software solutions can drive efficiency into people-driven business processes (functional/vertical expertise)
BS/BA in Business, Computer Science, or a computer-related degree
Travel will mainly be within the Chicago and Greater Chicago Areas
